So I know that I am AWFUL at keeping in touch but I promise I am working on it! I really do miss you guys! I'm so excited to be seeing some of you soon. (MAT is coming up in April along w/ Lindz. And Sophie is coming out in May. Yay!)
So what have we been up to? Just in case it has been a really long time since we've talked here is what has happened in my life over the past three years:
May, 2004 I graduated from Case Western Reserve University
(I majored in Biomedical Engineering w/ a focus in Biomechanics)
August, 2004 I moved to Seattle & started working at the Seattle VA Hospital
(I worked in research. Cool projects, great coworkers)
(Ian got a job working for Microsoft as a programmer)
November 6th, 2004 Ian & I got married :)
(We flew back home to Dayton for an intimate wedding w/ our closest friends & family)
March, 2007 We bought our first condo
(We live in Kirkland, WA still w/i walking distance of downtown & Lake Washington ... looking forward to lots of swimming in the lake this summer)
November 11th, 2007 I gave birth to Molly Elizabeth Huff
(and I quit my job to be a stay at home mom)
So that takes you up to the present! Ian is still working at Microsoft & he still enjoys his job although we're trying to figure out how to work it so we can both stay home w/ the baby. Ian had ~ 2 months off for paternity leave & we had so much fun hanging out at home together w/ the baby. Molly & I stay pretty busy. We have a Baby & Mommy workout class on Wed mornings; Ian & I host a community group for Mars Hill Church on Wed night; I attend a Women's Bible study on Thursday mornings. Other then that Molly & I hang out w/ friends during the day, we also like relaxing at home or walking downtown. I'm looking forward to hiking w/ her this summer (last summer all of our friends who are school teachers or Starbucks managers, or nannies all did tons of hiking during the week while I had to work. Haha! Now I get to join them & bring along an adorable little baby!) :) Right now I'm catching up on all of my sewing projects & I'm putting together Molly's baby book. I'm also having a lot of fun knitting & doing all of the housewife tasks (cooking, cleaning, paying bills, etc). I know I know I sound like such a 1940's woman but I'm having a blast. :) Oh I'm also training for the Danskin Triathalon in August so we've been hitting up the gym a bit. I think that's it! Drop me a line sometime or give me a call. I never realized just how much I loved talking until I spent a week alone w/ my baby (poor Ian got an earful when he came home from work those nights. Don't ask your stay at home wife how's she's doing unless you're willing to listen for a good long chunk. I think I would talk for an hour non-stop until I remembered that I should probably ask how his day was) ;) Ah well they say that it's good to talk to babies & our baby gets talked to a lot! :)
